For this project I created poster about my University. So I tried to find as much as possible advantages in our university: 24 hours library, sports achievement, successful students, etc.  As well as you can find artists which I have researched.  They use very simple visual language to explain complicated things to audience. I also tried to use simple visual language to send message without text, about our university.

I looked at modernism movements and tried to find paintings which represents that movement the most.

Making Monroe with Illustrator

Today we looked how to make face and shadings on illustrator.

Influenced by this workshop I decided to make my friends portraits.

Icon Story

First of all I had to create my story using old 50’s children stamps.

 

Later I’ve made list of contemporary buzzwords what is important nowadays.

I think social websites are very important today. Some people even can’t imagine their life without facebook. Millions of pictures, events, many information are published on facebook.

In my opinion people also can’t imagine them life without fast food and take away. Maybe we have less time for cooking, maybe we are too lazy, but Mc Donalds, KFC, and other take away are even more popular than posh restaurants.

Music and pop stars have changed through the past decades. Now the most popular pop star is Miley Cyrus. Maybe some people will argue with me about that, but everybody knows her and her hit Wrecking ball. It’s enough to be known to get famous.

I think students couldn’t imagine them life without night clubs. Camel, Revolution, Tokyo, Club Five and many others… The best way to make icon for all clubs is – stamps on hand. I think all students will understand what it means.

One my icon is – camera with Facebook logo – it represents millions of pictures which are uploaded everyday to Facebook. Food, selfies, new clothes, parties, holidays.. you will be surprised what pictures you can find on this social website..

My icons are mostly based on student life and everybody could tell many stories looking at them.

TYPOGRAPHY

I got very interesting task! I have to make 3 typefaces which are based on 3 different paintings.

For the first type face I mostly looked at shadows, that’s why i drew it with pencils.

For the second one I looked at colors and curves. All colors which I used for my font are based on picture.

This picture looks very constructive and I used straight lines and stripes for my typeface. However my font doesn’t look finished, that’s why I started look at proportions.

Using grids I tried to keep proportions and to make it look better.

After that I transcribed my typeface to illustrator and I made digital version.

This is my final work.

Experimentation

 

Cardboard challenge

Today we had very interesting task to build ‘something’ that conveys an emotion…

It should invoke curiosity, intrigue and fun, surprise or delight

So I build the game, which invokes fun. You have to throw the ball and get as bigger score as you can. For all sections you get different number of points so your goal is to collect 1000 points. Success! Be accurate!

Keyframes – Cinema 4 D

Today we looked how to animate objects with Cinema 4 D. So I created 3 different objects – sphere, cone and cube. I animated all them separately. Another tool we looked at was the camera. We added a camera into the composition. The camera automatically takes the view you have when you add it. 

Materials and lights – Cinema 4 D

Today we looked at materials and lights. Fist of all we had to create floor and background. Then I could make an object and add material to it: plastic,  metal and also i could make it bump. We also looked at reflection so I tried to experiment with it.

In the end I decided to make logo with this software. So I used text and skills which i learn from this tutorial.

 

Objects and Shapes – Cinema 4 D

Today we looked at shaped and splines. We looked at splines, circles and rectangles. Creating rings, ovals and changing the axis that shapes sit on. We looked at rounding the shapes, adding text. We looked at bezier lines. You can draw a shape. This can be closed or open. Also we looked at caps, sweeps and rotation

3d intro – Cinema 4d

We started to look at new program – Cinema 4 D. Using this program you can make 3D objects and create movies.  This 3D animation software is great for veterans, but it’s especially appealing for those who are just breaking into the modeling world. I recommend CINEMA 4D for graphic designers and other professionals who need something powerful, but approachable.

So today we looked at various tools, what is useful in this software. Finally I made an object and added image to it. After that I created shadow and rendered.

Colour

We had lesson about colors and we tried to recognize color palette in the paintings and to see how it works.
